Updated information on Mock TOEIC!!!

It has recently come to my attention that students who has received a score of 800 or higher last semester do not need to take the Mock TOEIC again this semester.  Mock TOEIC is good for one academic school year just like the Official TOEIC.  If you have additional questions, please direct them to room 109 at the GILC.

Hang in there!

Whew! The midterm exams are over!  The midterm week went smoothly without any tragic death of students’ dogs or distant grandparents.  Everyone showed up as expected and did well.  I would like to thank each one of you for behaving quietly out in the hallway during the exams.  I'm very proud of you!

Now that we are more than half way done, imagine yourself on a rollercoaster, the hard part is done and all you have to do is take a ride down to the 16th week. But don't forget, now is the time to participate more in class and to work harder. You can only change your grade during the semester, while the game is still being played, and not after the semester is over. Once the time on the timer has stopped, there's nothing I can do to help you so please plan ahead.  I will not change any grades after the game has ended.

Let’s have a great semester!

Midterm Grading Criteria

Wow, I can't believe it's time for midterms already! Please check out the grading criteria and if you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me.  Remember not to memorize your answers as this will make you sound like a robot but to remember a few key points and to build on those key points.

Good luck!
