How to write your name on assignments and quizzes!

On all assignments including quizzes, please write your Korean name in Korean. Also, include your English name if you have one. Finally, include your student ID number as this will help clarify students with the same or similar names.

Thanks everyone!

No work-related text messages please!

Hi everyone!
While I love receiving text messages asking how my day's going, I’m being overwhelmed by text messages asking me about assignment questions on my phone.  I wouldn’t mind this even if it were only a few number of students but more and more students are texting now. Also, I’m having a hard time keeping track of who I returned messages to and who I haven’t. This is difficult since I use my phone for personal reasons and not for work.  School does not pay for my phone nor do they offer an allowance for my phone fees.

So, before you decide to text me ask yourself, is this personal or business?  If it’s personal like wishing me a Happy Chuseok it’s OK, but if it’s work related like asking me if you can write about a certain topic, please e-mail me. This way, I can assure that I return all messages promptly.
Thanks for your understanding!

Festival Time Absences

I hear it's time for festival this week!  How fun! Just wanted to remind you that we will be having class as usual.  Should you decide to miss class, remember that you would need an excuse from school for your absence to be considered an excused absence.  Otherwise, it will be considered an unexcused absence.

If you have special reasons for needing to miss class, please come see me in person.

Have fun but remember to drink in moderation and to act responsibly!

Where is the humanity in coloring chicks?

Take a look at the video and ask yourselves, who is buying these kinds of animals?  As long as there's a demand, these guys will continue to dye the poor chicks!

This is the finished product of the chicks.  What do you think?

Homework

The second week of school is here and I've heard no good alternatives to doing the actual CD homework so if you haven't talked to me about your homework options, please do the homework in the Activebook CD as usual.  You must complete all the activities but Games and Puzzles are optional because I know some of them can be tough!

You must obtain at least 80% or higher on your activities or else you’ll only receive 50% of the score.

I will open E-class for you to capture the screen shot of your “Activity Results” page on your computer.  Please post each homework in each section before the due date.  Do not post more than one homework in each folder.

Remember, I do not take late homework so please plan accordingly.  If you have a computer problem, I’m sorry!  Your mission is to find any and all available computer to do your homework.  If you have any questions about the homework, please come and see me.

Good luck and let's have a great semester!!!
