***Make-up day for Monday 3, 4--Post your movie critiques here***

Since the Monday class will be missing two days for University Foudation Day and Memorial Day, you will watch a movie of your choice and post your critique on here. Don't just comment on the whether you liked the movie or not but rather go deeper but not limited to these issues:

1. What message is the producer trying to convey?

2. Are there any life lessons the movie is trying to share?

3. What are some stereotypical parts played by people in the movie? Is the main character a male? A caucasian male? Is he tall, handsome, and young? Does he smoke?

4. Is the supporting role of the main character a male or female? Do you think there's anything odd about this?

5. Is the outcome of the movie predictable? Did Good trimuph over Evil?  Did the movie end with a possible sequel in mind? Something for the watcher to hope for in the future? How do you know?

6. What is your overall feeling of the movie? Was it worth the money you paid for? Why or why not?  Would you refer your friends to go watch this movie? Why or why not?

7. What would you like to have told the producer of the movie if you could? To possibly change the movie to make it better.

Thsese questions aren't all inclusive but are there just to give you some ideas on what kinds of things to write about.  Hope you all have fun with this activity.

Don't forget to type your name in Korean (hangul) to receive your credit for this assignment.

  1. Gokseong(The Wailing)

Gokseong(The Wailing) is the movie released in May, 5 and is about supernatural phenomenon, spiritualism and sorcery. Yeah, you might assume that this is a horror and thriller movie, you got that right. This movie follows a cop who live in the village name Gokseong that he experience an unexplainable incident.

To evaluate a horror/thriller movie, it is one of the best ways to focus on whether the movie was predictable or not. When you watch the movie, you could find out that the director had been thinking over and over again to make the film very tricky to audiences. This movie will never let someone down by predictable story. also the marvelous camera technique supported story perfectly.

And the performances of actors and actress was quite impressive too. Especially the child actress’s play was remarkable. The director commented that the child actress couldn’t understand the script so her mother read it and explained it to her. Even though she didn’t understand the script by herself, her performance was splendid and made the movie perfect.

The movie will be show at the Cannes Film Festival this year. If you find a movie to watch at the weekend, this is the best choice.

Since Civil War is a connection of previous series, I had to watch the whole Marvel series in order to understand the flow of the Civil War. So I did. However, I was first intending to write about Civil War but I decided to change my plan after watching the second part of Avengers.
    Summary
After a successful raid on a HYDRA base, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner create an Artificial Intelligence called Ultron, a peacekeeping protocol designed to help the Avengers protect the world from their enemies. But things go wrong when Ultron sees the human race as a threat and sets out to destroy it along with the Avengers. Now the Avengers, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, the Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, must reassemble to stop Ultron from causing mass destruction. Aside from this, the Avengers also must take on the powerful twins Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch as well as the new entity called Vision. The story ends with destruction of Ultron and the death of Quicksilver.
    Evaluation
To be critical, there are few stereotypes in the movie. First of all, there are African or Asian super heroes. This might sound a little patriotic, but I get proud whenever Korean acts out an important role in Hollywood movies. Secondly, excluding Black Widow, they are all male! Why can’t woman play an important role in the Avengers! Recruit Superwoman!
Anyways, Marvel series were first published in America few decades ago and I understand the circumstances during those days.
On the other hand, the action scenes were certainly the best of all! Pretty sure that no one can doubt it. However, the part where my heart pumped was when the Avengers reassembled. I wasn’t able to get the first Avenger movie, thus, Avengers was the first union for me.
I already knew that there is a reassemble of Avengers but still, my entire body was trembling.
If I get any chance to give some advice to the producer, I would definitely recommend him to take some Asian actors as a protagonist.
I wasn’t a big fan of Marvel series, but now, I dying for the next part of the series.

    'Captain America: Civil War'

I like Marvel movies because they are fun to watch, and also have some messages that give us a lesson.
What I find amazing about these movies is the computer-generated effects. It seems so real. For example, in this movie there is a scene when Captain throws a man to a pillar. It seemed really hurt enough to think that he was definitely not okay. I was worried about that man.

Captain America is one of my favorite super heroes in the Marvel series. I think that's because of his personality. He is honest, kind-hearted, trustworthy, and constant. He never gives up anything that he decides to do. He has a personality of the typical super heroes.

In this movie, Captain shows his trust toward the Avengers and his best friend Bucky. The Avengers was about to be bound by the Sokovia Accords, which was prepared by the UN, to be overseen and controlled. And Bucky had been brainwashed by Hydra and was committing murder to many innocent people. But Captain believed that the Avengers can control themselves, and Bucky can be recovered as he was before. In the end, he turned out to be right.

I think Captain's attitude is very important in life.
    1. Showing constant trust toward something or someone can make positive changes.
    2. Once you make a decision, you need to believe in your choice and maintain it unless it's wrong or bad.
I should remember these attitudes and practice in life.

I agree with you that turst and believing in yourself is very important in life. It reminds me of the placebo effect, people even save their lives trusting that the medicine will cure them. I have never watched a Marvel movie but maybe I will set a date and watch the whole series. I think I will enjoy the high quality CG as you mentioned.

  4. “About Time”

Since I haven’t seen previous series of Marvel, I had to find something else instead of “civil War”. And at that time “About time” was aired on “OCN” channel.

"About Time" is a romantic comedy about the vicissitudes of life and love. It's witty, funny but it's also a film giving a life learn lessons. The centerpiece of the film is the relationship between Tim (Domnhall Gleeson) and his family. Tim's father is able to do time travel. He can revisit past experiences and incidents within his own life and alter their outcomes. Tim has inherited this ability from his father. He uses it to improve his love life. He builds up a strong bond and a young family with Mary (Rachel McAdams). But he soon realizes that his exceptional gift does not protect him from the normal ups and downs of family life. Indeed, one of the most moving scenes in the film is a conversation Tim has with his father on learning that the latter has terminal cancer.

Despite the time-traveling plot device, the story focuses on the father-son relationship of Tim and his dad and the lovely romantic relationship between Tim and Mary, without being too sad, too bright, and too sentimental. The message or overall theme of the film about appreciating life as if it was your last was not fully satisfying.

    Captain America: Civil War

The story is about conflict between super heroes who have different thoughts about The Sokovia Accords. Usually, if there's a conflict, one side become bad guys in movies. But this time, it's hard to say one side is bad. I think this is the most interesting part of this movie.

In real life, maybe there are evils but not simple as fairy tales. They always have their own reasons about what they did. The movie reflected this well. Maybe some see Captain is good and Iron man is bad. Because Captain was trying to save his friend, Bucky and iron man tried to stop him. But Captain objected a majority opinion to imprison Bucky who is common enemy and through this happenings he caused lots of losses. And Iron man knew super heroes can be threats to normal people. that's why he was against the team Captain. like this they have their own reasons and try to keep their believes. I think the movie shows there are no bad guys but conflicts because of different believes.

By the way, the movie was not that good to me. I guess I expected too much or was too tired to watch the movie... But I liked new characters and these made me looking forward to next movie.

Hi june :) I whtched civil war, which is part of captain america trilogy, and I want to talk about this movie.

I was expecting this movie for so long because I am a huge fan of Marvel cinematic universe! I watched all the movies from marvel
And this movie, Captain America civil war was generally good movie, except few points. Maybe it’s because I was expecting it so much but the overall storyline was somewhat disappointing, since it’s kinda cliché after all. In this movie, there is no bad side, but just friends, avengers fighting at each other with different opinion, misunderstanding each other.
Captain America, Steve, himself is a righteous person and this characteristic of his somehow made this movie a bit dull. Because I really could see what will happen. Steve will try to protect his friend, fighting against his other friends, the Avengers, however will not be able to really kill them and will make up with them at the end. And this made the movie boring.
However, the actions and all the computer graphics were worth watching. And all the other characters such as Ant man, Spiderman made movie interesting!
Thus, this movie was disappointing at its storyline, but was worth watching after all. 

I watched Civil war but as i am not a fan of Marble and i haven't watched the previous ones, i couldn't really understand what's going on during the whole movie. So i decided to write about a movie called "The notebook"which is the movie i watched about 5 times. This movie is a romantic movie but the love story it shows is not only beautiful but also heart breaking. The main characters Noah and Allie fell in love when they were both young. However, their love faces obstacle due to their status difference since Allie was a heiress and Noah was a 'lower class young man'. Allie's parents eventually decided to physically separate them and Allie moved to far away city. After all the years, Noah came back from war and found out that Allie got engaged to a rich man. However, at the end, they finally become together and the movie shows how Allie suffers from dementia and Noah stands by her showing true and endless lover for her even though she cannot even remember him.

At first, it was sad to realize that no matter how much you love someone, there can be a situation where you cannot really picture the future with the person. And then i was relieved and happy when they were finally together after all the hardships they endured. However, at some point, i started think about the fiance of Allie. Since the movie was not taken at his point of view, i don't really get to know his exact feeling but i could feel that he also truely loved Allie so that I could imagine how he would have been frustrated when she left him to go back to her first love.

I personally think that finding true love is a very hard thing and this movie made me wondering if i would find someone i love that much as the main characters did and if i'm brave enough to stand all the obstacles.

  9. I didn't like any of the movies playing in the theater so I watched the movie 'Bucket List'. Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman are the main actors in the movie. There was a stereotype of race from the beginning of the movie. It was typical for the white man to be rich and the black man to be very poor. Both of the men find out that they are terminally ill and decide to make a bucket list for both of them and actually do the things on it. Their journey ended quicker than it was planned to be because Carter, played by Morgan Freeman, missed his wife and wanted to go back home. After Carter returns home, he falls down and goes back in to the hospital. When Edward, played by Jack Nicholson, visits Carter, Carter gives him a letter. On the letter, Carter tells Edward, 'find the joy in your life'. The letter made me think about my life. I'm a senior but I still don't know what I want to do after I graduate. Then I thought maybe if I had goals I want to reach, I will find something I really enjoy doing, so I set a goal to make my own bucket list by the end of this semester and actually take steps to achieve it.

Unfortunately I am not interested in marvel series and because of this reason I didn't watch any of the marvel series movies. Therefore I would like to talk about the movie I watched lately, which is called 'Secret'.

The movie 'Secret' is a Taiwanese film. One of the interesting points of this movie is that the director of this movie, Jay Chou, also played a role as a main character. The reason why I decided to watch it is because I personally like the typical mood of Taiwanese movies and 'Secret' is one of the most popular Taiwanese films.

The synopsis is pretty simple. The boy who is highly talented in playing piano falls in love with a girl in high school. They like each other but the girl is quite mysterious. She seems to have a serious illness and sometimes disappear. In the middle of the movie, there is an unexpected twist. I would not mention about this twist in this comment but I think that twist made this movie very special and distinctive. Before this surprising plot twist came out, I thought this is just a typical romance movie. However, after the twist it became very mysterious and interesting. If you are searching for the movie with a plot twist, I would like to recommend this one.

In this movie, both hero and heroine sacrifice so much things and take big risks just to be together. I think the director wanted to make people think about true love by showing that couple's infinite and courageous love. These days many people are so calculative or materialistic and afraid of taking risks with love. I wish we all could get a chance to think about true love between our lovers, family and even friends.

Beside these things, there is a piano competition scene between the hero and his schoolmate and it became one of my favorite scenes among all the movies I have watched. I watched that scence for almost ten times. If you don't have enough time to watch full movie, I recommend you to watch that piano competition scene.

      ‘Sing Street’

Last weekend, I watched the movie ‘Sing Street’ and it became one of the best movie I have seen. This movie is made by John Carney, director of ‘Once’ and ‘Begin again’ and it is also kind of a musical film.

The hero Corner’s family circumstances became worse, and he had to move to another school. He saw a beautiful girl(whose name is Raphina) nearby his school and fell in love at first sight. He told a lie to her that he is a singer in his band and need a woman to appear in his music video. He made a band with his friends and composed a song to make a music video. Raphina liked the song and accepted to Corner’s request to appear in his music video. In the movie, they kept singing and Raphina also started liking him. In the last seen, they go to London together and the movie drop the curtain.

This seems like an ordinary movie but the music and the story healed my mind. In spite of the heroine’s bad circumstances he didn’t lost his hope and finally succeeded. There is a scene which the hero and his band sings in the school auditorium and everybody dance. It was only a hero’s imagination but really touching. The hero’s endless effort and their friendship looked really good. I highly recommend this movie to everybody and want to see this movie again.

Actually I felt something hopelessness. The irony of the title makes me think about cruel society on and on. someone says 'this movie is sick and I felt tired of this story.' But I can say in this story, there is no cliche something like 'good triumph over the evil'.
Facing a reality is so cruel that it comes heavy and stuffy. I felt anger. Enduring this burden was so hard, but if the end of this story were a happy ending, the chance of thinking about existence would decrease. Rather, I think, without insufficient happiness, only revealing severe reality to youth was good. Because I could realize what a producer wants to say certainly. That is hard to express with words. But if you see this film, I can sure that you will know what the message is.
This story is not spectacular, not breathtaking . But this film suggests the source of consideration. It reveals the cowardice of adults through the youth destroyed by adult's selfishness. We can think about ' from now on, how can I become a man of right characteristics?'
This independent film maybe not fancy, But I felt unique only can get from a independent film. And 'deeper thought rather than fun' is important factor of independent film what is different with commercial movie. It is our share of judgement. I think this movie is just good enough to make audience think about existence of us, relationship, youth, cruel society.
I like to recommend this movie who wants to become a thinker, who wants to face up to a reality.
    -story-
20 year-old, four friends go on a trip for their memorable time. Enjoying free time, They witnessed the assaults. So, they tried to help a victim. In that procedure, they are dragged into assault case. They are pursued by police running onto a road.
In the end they are taken to a police station. In the investigation, they are hard pressed to admit a attacker and a murderer. (don't know why a real criminal was killed, the cause of death is not clear). To the last, policemen don't believe their innocence.
On the other hand, 상우, one of the 4 friends entered a hospital because of hit and run car. The rest of the friends put the blame on 상우. Finally, they are punished with a fine and 상우 died in a hospital.

I saw the movie ‘Inside Out’, and the movie shows that all the feelings (joy, sadness, disgust, anger, fear) make one’s life perfect. Every moment cannot be just happy. Sometimes one feels angry, sad, feels fear, and doesn’t like the situation at all. However the harmony of these feelings forms one’s life.
For example, we would think sadness is needless in life because sadness is sad and make us depressed. Also, in the introduction of the movie, ‘Sadness’ always ruin ‘Riley’(the main character)’s joyful memories and looks annoying to audience and other feeling characters, too. However, later, sometimes ‘Sadness’ solved the problems like soothing ‘Bing bong – Riley’s imagination friend’ by sadness and show joy cannot fix all the problem like, when you have to wake up Riley, ‘Joy’ said to make her happy but it did not work. ‘Sadness’ said to surprise her and it worked. Then ‘Joy’ realized ‘Sadness’ is also necessary to Riley’s life and also joyful memories could be made because sadness came first. Also, Riley’s parent’s feeling characters helped each other to solve problems, too.
To write about stereotypes in movie, I think there was no big stereotypical parts, but the five feeling characters in Riley’s brain, there were 3 female characters (Joy, Sadness, and Disgust) and 2 male characters (Anger and Fear). However in mom’s, 5 feeling characters were all female and dad’s 5 feeling characters were all male. I don’t understand why this happened. When Riley gets older, her two male feeling characters change into female characters..?!
For the gender of main character, I think there is a supporting role of that main character Riley was a girl because there is also a research result that woman is more sensitive than man. Maybe this can be also my stereotype, but if Riley were boy, then the movie couldn’t show the delicate emotions.
My best part of the movie was that when ‘Joy’ and ‘Bingbong’ fall off into memory garbage, they tried to get out of there by riding on Bingbong’s dream car but Bingbong – the imaginary friend of Riley – finally fall down from the car to help ‘Joy’ to go up and he was disappeared – forgotten. This means a lot to me. When I was kid, I also have many imaginary moments like when I walked on the street, I jumped like ‘if I step on the yellow block I would die!’, and ‘there is the zoo back in the closet’. However now I just live in REAL WORLD. Therefore that scene reminds me my childhood’s memory and also shows my life. It was so sad to me. Not only this part, the movie shows and reminds me lots of things.
Therefore the movie ‘Inside Out’ was worth enough because it was animation but it shows our lifes and remind me that joy is not at all. We all cannot have happy moment. Sometimes sad and bad things happen, too. However as we feel those sad and other negative emotions, we can learn more and think deeper. Then I realize the feelings are important in life. It will be so sad that if I cannot feel the emotion in any moment.

I watched the X-men series the movie X-men: Apocalipse. The basic story was about the past of the X-men, how they became to be the X-men we know and how they were made. But as they became to become X-men there was a mutant that was very powerful but died at the late Egythian days. By accident the mutant becomes alive and goes on finding his apostle mutants to help him destroy the world and make him king of the world once again as he did at the Egyptian past. The moral lesson was that there is good in each every person even if the person had a bad past of crime or such eles. The good guys (X-men) always beleived in people ans mutants could belong together in harmony and be good as every one have inside of them.

  15. Gokseong (The Wailing)

Before I watched The Wailing, movie reviews on the internet make me decide whether to watch a movie or not. The film was widely criticized on the lack of explaining between foreshadow and story, cruelty in spite of 15 rating and etc. Otherwise, there were many critics who gave it a big thumbs up and so I decided to watch this movie.

Gokseong is a mysterious or thriller movie that shows strange and superstitious events in the town called Gokseong and tried to convey messages : ‘Doubt all the events around us’, ‘How should we cope with a difficulty in confusion?’, and ‘But we should remember how painful the victims are’. The film director, HongJin Na, tried to deliver messages by leaving room for interpretation and we should think about unsolved issues he intended.

I think It is important for the thriller to keep tensions until the end. At this point this movie was very remarkable. The producer continued to trick the audience by using the lack of probability between stories and reversal technique in movies. I could stay focused on the movie from start to finish because of it. It looked like a game, deceiver(producer) vs doubter(audience).

The most impressive part was the scene of having two ceremonies in different places. One was to cure a girl with disease and the other was to curse on her. But it was a fake to belie the audience. Both of them were actually for curse and they made people confused by switching two scenes intentionally. And the scene was filmed nonstop for 15 minutes and a shaman played by JeongMin Hwang looked like a real shaman because of his eyes and trained gestures.

After watching The Wailing, I just knew why opinions diverge on this movie. The movie left people so many questions unanswered. Some people felt an unpleasant feeling about it. But I was interested in it and wanted to find answers. So I plan to go to see this movie again soon.

  16. Zootopia

I recently saw the movie Zootopia. It's basically about a rabbit that wants to be a police officer but nobody think she can do it. before I watched this movie, I thought this would be just stupid kids movie which I enjoy sometimes. but it actually had a great message.

In the beginning of this movie the main character had an altercation with a fox who laughed at her and told her she can never be a police officer this only fueled her passion. We then see a montage of her going through police academy training and graduating at the top of her class. Before she leaves to go Zootopia her parents try to give her a bunch of things to protect against foxes. Once in the city she end up being assigned as a meter maid. While she is working she ends up forming a relationship with the secondary character - a fox. The main problem of the movie is that animals are going missing and we end up finding out they are going "savage". This creates tension between predators and pry in the whole city and even causes a rift between the two main characters.

The reason why this movie can reach all audiences is because it has a message of overcoming adversity and not playing into stereotypes of your "kind". A rabbit can become a police officer, a fox is not always going to grow up and be "sneaky like a fox". It deals with racism. It makes me think about how dangerous racism can be and one small comment can ignite a flame inside people and it can get taken way out of hand and ruin peoples lives.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and would highly recommend people to see it, if they have not seen it already.

    Stoker (2013)

I haven't had a chance to watch a movie that was recently released, so I want to write about a movie called Stoker which was released in year 2013. I first watched this movie in the military and watched it once more for this assignment. This movie was a little bit interesting because all the actors were American and the movie director was Chan-wook Park, a famous Korean movie director.

The movie's genre is thriller. The main character is a girl named India Stoker which is 18 years old. She doesn't talk much and she is a little different with her friends. Her father dies by an accident and right after that, her uncle which she never knew existed, appears in front of her and her mother. After her uncle, Charlie Stoker appears in front of her family, people around her disappears. Later throughout the movie India gets to know that it was Charlie who killed her father and the people around her. One day, India was about to get raped by her friend. When she was resisting, Charlie appears and kills her friend. After that incident, India gets to know about her violence and quickly becomes a murderer like her uncle. This movie is really creepy and is an open ending. There are lots of endings people talk about.

The movie title "Stoker" is the family name of India but it also means "Stalker". Stalker means 1.someone who persecutes someone with unwanted attention 2. someone who hunts stealthily. In this movie the second definition is used. Charlie and India who shows psychopathic behavior hunts people around them.

Even though I watched this movie twice, it is still hard for me to catch what the movie director is trying to deliver to the audience. However, I still find it very interesting and fun to watch. I recommend people to watch this movie if they are thriller movie lovers.

  18. ‘About time’

When I first saw the movie poster, I just thought that it would be a normal Romance movie. But, during watching this movie, I could realize that it’s more than that, and it became one of my favorite movies.

This movie is about Tim’s life, who finds that he can travel in time at the age of 21. He also figures out that he can change the present by going back to the past. When he first recognizes his special ability, what he wanted to do most was to make a girlfriend. And after several attempts and mistakes, he finally meets Mary and they fall in love.
It just seems like an ordinary romantic fantasy, but this movie also shows love of family and life.
Tim loves his family so much as Mary. When his father passes away, Tim goes back to before his father’s death again and again, and makes his father happy. And when the last time that he can see his father comes, because of his baby’s birth, his father tells Tim how to live more valuable life with his own special ability. Tim tries what his father told as last words, and finally recognizes the way to be happy without time traveling.

After I watch this whole movie, I decided to make to live like Tim as my lifelong goal. Even though I don’t have that time-travel ability, I could remind what is truly important in my life by watching this movie again. Being a rich or having a wealthy, handsome husband is far from aim in my life. What I really want in my life is just to have a family that I really love and to spend every moment preciously. But for now, it’s hard to be realized at once, and I often forget my ideal life. At that time, I watch this movie and remind what’s really important for me now. Also, when I feel shame and disappointed myself, spending my time doing unnecessary things, I can refresh my mind-as Tim has many trials and errors, my 20s may have many mistakes and I can learn from that.

I believe that most people would already watch this movie, but if someone didn’t see it yet, I would strongly recommend watching this.

Since I’m the big fan of Marvel studio, I recently watched Captain America – Civil War. Well, actually, already in the comics issues they are passed the civil war (in official), and also fight each other because of their own faith. I also agree with Ironman – that all superheroes (also, a hero who made by money, too) should be registered in the country. Now the world-in the movie-is in serious danger because of aliens, hydras, many freshly-get-superpower villains are threatening citizens because they have power. People who have power can be damaged or can be the villain because of their past situations. If we can prepare those situations, I think they should become known to the country. But also at Captain’s side, unconditional control is an autocracy. If the country wants, even they didn’t employ registered people they can induce them to fight or struggle with other national problems with super-powered people. It is hard to say one side is right or wrong, I guess.
    (question 1,2)
Well, the name of the movie is “Captain America”-yes, the symbolical type of caucasian male is the main character. Also, black man and woman and other characters have appeared in the movie, but two main characters are the white male from America. Captain America, Steve Rogers is tall, handsome, and young if the ice time was not counted. (if counted, he can be called as grandfather)
The supporting role of the main character is male,-in this movie, there are many supporting roles.
It is definitely issued in movie circles that sexual discrimination between actor and actress.
Recently the Sony pictures’ mail hacking issue was on the rise, that the mail’s contents were about wage discrimination between actor and actress. It should be changed step by step when we are now on the struggle with hatred for women.
    (Q 3,4)
Well… this movie was not about the fight of evil and good. I didn’t expect the outcome (spoiler). There will be another movie in the future according to marvel’s schedule, but I’m not sure about winter soldier’s existence.
    (Q5)
It was good. Not nice. I planned with my old friends for the same film, but not because of its quality. Just one of my friend wanted to watch with us all together. (I’m happy with that so I said I’ll willingly watch). This movie carries so many heart line. About lost family, become killing machine because of evil sides, sacrificed by country because the first succession of super serum, etc… Even the movie didn’t end them all, I think It was worth to pay.

‘Goakseong’ is a movie about ‘Trust“. The ’Jeonggu’ a male main character, native man of the suburb town. That town was quiet, but, something misteric situations was happened when stranger appears at the town, jeonggu started to doubt the stranger, when jeonggu’s daughter was sick, he doubt the stranger too, so he ruined the stranger’s alter and killed he’s dog. But, he’s daugher’s ill get worse, then he started to believe in voodoo.
In the entire movie, main character jonggu’s believe make worse. it was all wrong. He didn't trust who it’s worth, and he did trust what makes him worse.
But, the director’s message is the remanent’s story by the violation of the disaster. not the person who trust the wrong things and get worse. In the last scene, the main character ‘jonggu’,he just replyed ‘I will care.. Papa will care..’ with sobbing front of he’s family’s dead body. He was just the remanent victim.
During the over 2hour of running time, I’ve almost never watched such a devoting movie after the harry potter 1 at 1999’. This movie has ability about thinking once more about the message of movie and my opinion of the movies.
There are some controversy about cults and movie itself, but I can say no regrets will be occur such like after we watched star wars 7.

    Captain America: Civil War

I guess this movie wants to show a conflict between a cause and friendship. In this movie, Captain America(CA), a main character heard that his friend Winter soldier, called Bucky, blasted the building during Sokovia Accords. After CA met Bucky he realized that he was controlled by someone, so CA decided to help him even though it was against his companion, Tony stark, and government’s order that heroes should not fight without its permission.
To talk about the CA’s decision, I think his purpose was good because Bucky was the victim of brainwashing by Hydra and Heinrich Zemo, who tried to cause Avengers’ civil war, and CA was the only one who was Bucky’s friend and understand his situation. However, I still wonder if the civil war was really necessary to rescue Bucky. Belonging to Avengers, there must be a big connection CA and his companions, so they could’ve endured some trouble and yield someone’s opinion. Of course, it was not only CA’s fault. Tony Stark was too stubborn that he never thought about the detailed causes of problems. He emphasized the responsibility that heroes need to be controlled by others, but he could never calm his temper. When Tony saw a video that brainwashed Bucky murdered his parents, he just tried kill him without knowing a whole story. This was not a good attitude.
To sum up, I think Captain America: Civil War wants to send a message that we need to understand each other to solve a big conflict. Or else, there must be a disaster like breaking up Avengers and losing a friend.

The most recently movie which I have watched is Zootopia.
There are some main characters, Judy and Nick. Judy is a rabbit who wants to be a police officer. And Nick is a fox who has negative life view, doing stealing.
In addition, the Zootopia is a big city, being comfortable like utopia. In Zootopia, there’s no conflict with the predators and the preys. But although Zootopia is utopia to animals, there is prejudice, sadly. Everybody says Judy cannot be a police officer because she is a little rabbit. Nevertheless, Judy did her best to become a police, and she finally achieved her goal.
After she became a police, there is a big issue that the predators going crazy and police have to stop them. So the conflict between animals begins. During that time, Judy and Nick try to solve the problem together. By the end, Judy (represents the prey groups) and Nick (represents the predator groups) solves the problem and makes Zootopia be peaceful.
By watching this movie, I feel like Zootopia is better than real world because the Zootopia animals solve the problem and finally remove discrimination. And I hope, some day, the real world goes be equal to everybody like utopia.
